BROOKSHIRE, Texas ( AP) - A pilot has been seriously hurt when his single-engine experimental plane crashed nose- first into a hangar at a private airport in the Houston area.

The Waller County Sheriff ’s Office says the accident happened late Monday morning. The hangar is at Sport Flyers Airport near Brookshire, about 25 miles west of Houston.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the crash involved a singleengine Aero Max light airplane assembled from a kit. FAA records list it as registered to an Indiana man.
