RAYMONDVILLE, TEXAS - Henry S. De La Paz, Sr., 74 of Raymondville, TX, entered into rest Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in Harlingen Medical Center, in Harlingen, Texas.

He was born on May 28, 1940 in Corpus Christi, TX, son of Juan and Ramona (Serrato) De La Paz.

Henry’s favorite past-time was playing his accordian and he especially enjoyed playing for his church family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beatrice Elizardo and brother, Ernesto De La Paz.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria Elena De La Paz; son, Henry (Letty) De La Paz, Jr., daughter, Nelda (Pilo Guerrero) De La Paz; step-son, Ramiro (Rebecca) Rivera; brother, Eloy (Janie) De La Paz; sisters, Gloria Urrutia, Delia (Agapito) Ramirez, Diana (Fred) Navarro, Dalia Galvan, Nora (Edward) Salas; grandchildren, Omar Garcia, Analiza Garcia, Eric Herrera, Juan Chavez, Jr., and Henry William De La Paz.

Visitation was held at Duddlesten Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services were held at the First Assembly of God Church, 195 E. Rodriguez Ave., Raymondville, Texas on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed in the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery.

Honored to have served as pallbearers were: Omar Garcia, Eric Herrera, Pilo Guerrero, Fred Navarro, Jr., Fred Elizardo, Ramiro Rivera, Analiza Garcia, Henry William De La Paz and Juan Chavez, Jr.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 W. Hidalgo, Raymondville, Texas.
