EON Magic Valley Wind Farm offering scholarships

The Coastal Bend Community Foundation (CBCF) announces the opening for submission of the online scholarship application effective December 15, 2015 through March 1, 2016 for E.ON Climate & Renewables North America Higher Education Fund for Willacy County - Magic Valley. The charitable fund was established by Magic Valley Wind Farm I, LLC to set aside a portion of proceeds from their operations in Willacy County for the benefit of area youth.

To apply for the scholarship from the E.ON - Willacy County, students enrolled in Raymondville, Lyford and San Perlita ISDs should visit the CBCF website (www.cbc foundation.org and click on "Online Scholarships." This links the student to the online application, which must be submitted March 1, 20166. Students should be sure to note their county of residence as "Willacy County" when promised by the application, in order to ensure they are considered for the E.ON scholarships. The Coastal Bend Community Foundation was incorporated in 1981 with the mission of enhancing and improving the quality of life in the seven counties of the Coastal Bend. The Foundation serves donors by providing a vehicle for the establishment of various types of charitable funds designed to fulfill their wishes. Since its inception, the Foundation has distributed over $90 million from donor contributions and revenues to scholars hips for students and grants for nonprofit organizations.
