Raymondville man stabs ex-lover, then himself

(Photo by Erica Ysasi) A 46-year-old man allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend and then himself Wednesday (Jan. 31) at an apartment at Second and Raymond Streets.

Steven Means is charged with attempted murder and unlawful restraint, said Raymondville Police Detective Sgt. Marcelino Flores.

“He stabbed her four times and then stabbed himself,” Flores said.

Both Means and the woman were hospitalized at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen, Flores said.

Flores and Police Chief Uvaldo Zamora were not available on Monday or Tuesday to update the case.
