Reader remembers Texas Theater sign
Editor,
I enjoy reading the Chronicle every week. Bad news, good news, that’s life.
But the Texas Theater sign! It’s sad for everyone.
I always thought of the 1940’s. There were three theaters and one drive inn theater.
Raymondville was smaller, I guess. T.V.s came and Raymondville is much larger now. Texas Theater sign to me, when I visited I thought of Wolworth, Ramon Hotel, Terry Ferris, CR Anthony, Blue Bonnet Cleaners, the post office and drug store across the street where we went for coffee and or ice cream.
I still remember the great onion fiesta. We would get all dressed up for that. Well, when I visit Raymondville, it’s still beautiful.
